Hilton Head Dolphin Tours

Hilton Head was voted one of the ten best places for dolphin sightings in North America for a reason! It is home to over 170 residential bottlenose dolphins, while over 400 nomadic dolphins regularly pass through the area.
This dolphin tour is fun for the whole family and may also include sightings of other wildlife such as bald eagles, egrets, pelicans, sea turtles, sting rays, sharks, blue crabs, alligators, manatees, and wood storks.
Our covered pontoon boat will carry a small group, no more than 24, out onto the waters surrounding Hilton Head and the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge. Our boats sit nice and low in the water during this 75-minute tour for optimal wildlife viewing.
On the nature cruise our guides will point out some of the residential dolphins by name and even show you how to tell them apart. You'll also learn all about dolphins and how they have adapted to the local ecosystem.
Hilton Head Sunset Cruise
Nothing beats the beauty and serenity of a Hilton Head sunset cruise. Vibrant colors soar in the sky above and are reflected in the water below as you glide along on this scenic nature tour.
This 75-minute cruise begins during the golden hour of sunset and gives you views of Hilton Head, Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Calibogue Sound as the sun begins to set.
Not only will you get to see the stunning sunset, but you'll also come across some of the island's bottlenose dolphins! Our tour guides will point out some of our residential dolphins by name and you'll learn about dolphins as you are doing some dolphin watching.
Along with dolphins, you're likely to come across other animals as well, like manatees, blue crabs, sea turtles, and more. This cruise is fun for the whole family or perfect for a date night with your sweetheart.
Hilton Head Mermaid Experience
Our mermaid experience tours are unique, special, and fun for the whole family. You won't find an experience quite like this anywhere else on Hilton Head Island!
Join Pinky Plankton and Sailor Scruffy on an adventure through the island's waters to search for Mermaid Nina on this 75-minute tour.
This tour is based on the children's book "The Mermaid's Friends," and includes temporary tattoos, bubble wands, and magic name tags for each child that grow into wildflowers when planted.
Once you find Mermaid Nina, she'll swim right up to the boat to talk to everyone onboard. You'll learn all about how she became the mermaid of Hilton Head and how she helps to protect her ocean friends.
You'll learn about what you can do to help protect the ocean's ecosystem and you'll even get to ask Mermaid Nina questions all about being a mermaid.
Adventure and surprise are everywhere as you will help to battle Mermaid Nina's arch nemesis, Professor Al G, before he traps Nina in a mermaid performance tank.
Each child gets an Ocean Ambassador Badge at the end of the tour and will likely have plenty of fun memories to take home as well.
There is also the possibility of sightings of dolphins and other wildlife during this tour, so the magic never stops!
Hilton Head Elf Expedition

Join one of Santa's best elves, Noel Narwhal, on an adventure to find the local dolphins and complete a special mission just for Santa.
During your tour, your boat will get a special video call from Santa himself. Santa has an official mission for Noel to complete with your help so you can also earn a spot on Santa's nice list this holiday season.
This 75-minute interactive tour takes place on our festive covered boat and the fun doesn't even stop once the tour ends! Once you complete your mission with Noel, you'll head back to shore where you'll make s'mores in the snow to celebrate your victorious mission.
Make sure to bring your letters to Santa with you on the day of your tour! We here at Mermaid of Hilton Head have special connections to Santa's elf delivery system, so we'll let you put your letters in Santa's mailbox and make sure he gets them.
